How to Create a Photobook (Design Mode)

Design your own photobook with full creative control over every page, cover, and endpaper.

What is Design Mode?

Design Mode gives you access to the full photobook editor where you personally design every element — from the front cover to the endpapers. You choose photos, arrange them on pages, add text, and customize the entire layout.

Steps to Create Your Photobook

1. Choose a Photobook

1. Navigate to the Photobooks page
2. Browse available photobook options
3. Select the photobook you want

2. Select Options

On the product page:

1. Choose your preferred color (if available for this product)
2. Select the page count for your photobook

3. Start Your Project

1. Click the "Create Design" button
   • The button shows the design mode price
2. Your project is automatically created with a name like "Classic 40p Feb 12"
3. You'll be redirected to the photobook editor

4. Design Your Photobook

In the editor you have full control over:

1. Cover design — Design the front cover, back cover, and spine
2. Endpapers — Customize the inside front and back pages
3. Interior pages — Arrange photos, add text, and use templates
4. Photo placement — Drag and drop photos from your gallery onto pages
5. Text & captions — Add titles, descriptions, and captions anywhere

Photobook-Specific Features

• Cover editor: Design a custom front cover with photos and text
• Endpaper selection: Choose or design the pages inside the covers
• Page templates: Pre-designed layouts for quick professional results
• Spread view: See two-page spreads as they'll appear in the final book
• Auto-save: Your project saves automatically as you work
• Preview: See how your finished photobook will look before ordering

Next Steps

After creating your project:

1. Add more photos from your galleries
2. Design all pages including covers and endpapers
3. Order your photobook when ready
