How to Create a Photo Journal

Create a beautiful photo journal to tell your story — from travel adventures to family memories.

What is a Photo Journal?

Photo Journals are themed photo books designed for storytelling. Unlike standard photobooks, journals come with category-specific themes and are created entirely in Design Mode, giving you full creative control over the layout.

Steps to Create a Photo Journal

1. Choose a Photo Journal

1. Navigate to the Photo Journals page
2. Browse available journal categories (travel, wedding, family, birthday, kids, anniversary)
3. Select the journal you want

2. Select Options

On the product page:

1. Choose your preferred color (if available)
2. Select the page count for your journal

3. Start Your Project

1. Click the "Create Design" button
   • Photo Journals use Design Mode only — you design every page yourself
   • The button shows the price
2. Your project is automatically created
3. You'll be redirected to the journal editor

4. Design Your Journal

In the editor:

1. Add photos — Select photos from your gallery that match your journal's story
2. Arrange on pages — Drag and drop photos onto pages
3. Add text — Write captions, stories, and descriptions to accompany your photos
4. Use templates — Apply pre-designed page layouts for quick, professional results
5. Customize layout — Adjust photo sizes, positions, and page compositions
