How to Design Your Cover
Your photobook cover is the first thing people see. Make it memorable with a custom design.
Cover Components
Your photobook has these cover elements:
- Front cover — The main face of your photobook
- Back cover — The back of your photobook
- Endpapers — The inside of the front and back covers
Designing the Front Cover
1. Navigate to the Cover
- In the editor, click the first thumbnail in the page panel (labeled "Cover")
- The cover spread will appear in the center view
2. Add a Cover Photo
- Drag a photo from your gallery panel onto the cover
- Position and crop it to your liking
- Consider using your best or most meaningful photo
3. Add a Title
- Click "Add Text" in the toolbar
- Type your photobook title (e.g., "Our Wedding Day" or "Summer 2025")
- Style the text — choose a font, size, and color that complement your cover photo
4. Choose a Background
- Select a background color that complements your photos
- Or use a photo as the full background
Using Cover Templates
- Click the "Templates" button while on the cover page
- Browse available cover templates

- Customize the template with your photos and text
Design Tips
- Keep it clean — A single strong photo with minimal text works best
- High-resolution photo — Use your highest quality photo for the cover
- Readable text — Ensure title text contrasts well with the background
- Consider the spine — For thicker photobooks, the spine may show; keep important elements away from the center fold
Back Cover
- Navigate to the back cover page in the thumbnails panel
- You can add photos, text, or leave it with a solid color
- Many people add a small photo or a closing quote
Endpapers
- Endpapers are the decorative inside of the front and back covers
- Choose a solid color or pattern that matches your theme
- They add a premium, polished feel to your photobook
