How to Use Page Templates

Page templates are pre-designed layouts that make it easy to create professional-looking pages in seconds.

What Are Page Templates?

Templates are ready-made page layouts with different arrangements of photo frames and text areas. Instead of manually placing and sizing each element, you can apply a template and then fill in your photos.

Applying a Template

1. Select a Page

1. In the editor, click the page you want to apply a template to
2. The page appears in the center spread view

2. Open Templates Panel

1. Click the "Templates" button in the toolbar
2. Browse the available template options

3. Choose a Template

Templates are organized by layout type:

• Single photo — One large photo filling the page
• Two photos — Two photos side by side or stacked
• Three photos — Various arrangements of three photos
• Multi-photo — Four or more photos in creative layouts
• Text + photos — Combinations of text areas and photos

4. Apply the Template

1. Click on a template to apply it to the selected page
2. Photo frames will appear according to the template layout
3. Drag your photos into the frames from the gallery panel

Customizing After Applying

After applying a template, you can still:

• Swap photos — Drag a new photo onto an existing one to replace it
• Crop and position — Click a photo to adjust its crop and position within the frame
• Add text — Add additional text boxes if needed
• Adjust — Fine-tune the layout to your preference

Tips

• Consistency — Use similar templates throughout your photobook for a cohesive look
• Variety — Mix single-photo and multi-photo pages for visual interest
• Feature photos — Use single-photo templates for your best shots
• Story flow — Arrange templates to create a natural flow through your photobook

Common Questions

Can I change the template after placing photos?

• Yes, applying a new template will rearrange the layout. Your photos will be repositioned into the new frames.

Can I create custom templates?

• Currently, the editor provides a curated set of templates. You can manually create any layout by adding and positioning elements.
