How to Add & Edit Text

Add captions, titles, and descriptions to your photobook pages using the text editor.

Adding Text

1. Open the Text Tool

1. In the editor, click the "Add Text" button in the toolbar
2. A text box appears on the current page

2. Type Your Text

1. Click inside the text box
2. Type your text (e.g., a caption, date, or title)
3. Click outside the text box when done

Editing Text Style

Select a text box to see the formatting toolbar with these options:

Font Family

• Choose from a variety of fonts
• Includes serif, sans-serif, and decorative options

Font Size

• Adjust text size using the size selector
• Use larger sizes for titles, smaller for captions

Text Color

• Click the color picker to choose any color
• Match colors to your photobook theme

Text Formatting

• Bold — Make text thicker and more prominent
• Italic — Slant text for emphasis
• Underline — Add a line beneath text

Text Alignment

• Left — Align text to the left
• Center — Center text horizontally
• Right — Align text to the right

Line Height

• Adjust the spacing between lines of text
• Increase for a more open, readable feel
• Decrease for compact text blocks

Moving and Resizing Text

Move

1. Click and hold the text box border
2. Drag to your desired position
3. Release to place

Resize

1. Click the text box to select it
2. Drag a corner handle to resize
3. Text will reflow within the new size

Deleting Text

1. Click the text box to select it
2. Press Delete or Backspace on your keyboard
3. Or click the delete icon in the toolbar

Tips

• Keep it simple — Use 1-2 fonts throughout your photobook for a cohesive look
• Contrast matters — Use light text on dark backgrounds and dark text on light backgrounds
• Less is more — Short captions often work better than long paragraphs
• Title page — Add a title and date to the first page or cover

What fonts are available?

• The editor includes a curated selection of fonts suitable for photobooks, including both Georgian and Latin character sets.

Can I copy text formatting from one text box to another?

• Currently, formatting is set per text box. You can match styles manually.
